What happens when you gather Star Wars cosplay aficionados together with an electric bike company, hire an external crew of talented designers to work nights and weekends and partner with the top YouTube creators? A real- life Halloween dream come true (at least for some of us)!
From what started off as a fantasy months ago (and variations had been talked about for over a year), the Manhattan Halloween Project came to life in about 4 weeks.
Every Halloween, content creators Casey Neistat and Jesse Wellens get together to create a viral video showcasing a unique and over-the-top Halloween costume. For 2017, Lithium Cycles set out to partner with them to transform two SUPER73 motorbikes into replica speeder bikes from the Star Wars film Return of the Jedi. The goal was to create a loose illusion that these speeders were hovering through the streets of New York.
