Logistics Lead - Amsterdam Based

Our company is looking for a professional, motivated person to fill the position of Logistics Lead. The Logistics Lead plans all inbound / outbound shipments, provides leadership to our warehouse team and strives to keep transportation costs low. The successful candidate is also responsible for prioritizing tasks to meet expected shipping dates and maintaining an accurate inventory. As Logistics Lead you are responsible for the optimal management of the daily flow of goods. You coordinate all activities related to goods receipt, storage, order picking and distribution. The Logistics Lead is responsible for the management and control of all logistics-related activities within the organization and monitors all logistics objectives of the organization. You are also responsible for the Stock Control department. In this department, the service level and stock level are the important parameters and you are responsible for the most optimal fulfilment thereof. You also coordinate external customer requirements and internal logistics options within the framework of the commercial and logistics policy of the organization. As a logistics lead you are the link between purchasing and sales. You ensure the realization of the SLAs and KPIs agreed with customers, suppliers or logistics service providers (eg productivity, timeliness and completeness). Given the importance of good logistics within our market, it is important that sufficient attention is paid to the future and the development of the logistics performance of our company. The position has a high degree of independence. You report to the Operations Manager Europe; directly manages the Logistics Team and is part of the Super73 EU Team Leads.

Strategy and Development: 
Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures to aid and improve operational performance

General and Task Management

  • Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
  • Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organisation to improve operational and financial performance
  • Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budgetary requirements
  • Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs ï Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers ï Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
  • Select carriers/suppliers and monitor service against performance criteria
  • Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
  • Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports or customer issues
  • Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results to others
  • Assess and make recommendations for logistics processes in potential new facilities or plants and advise of cost implications and efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports
  • Identify and resolve any inventory discrepancies and ensure inventory and system records are in agreement
  • Keep track of slow moving and obsolete stock
  • Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
  • Interpret trends and analyse and review data. Provide meaningful logistics data to others in the organisation to aid customer service and cost improvements
  • Ensure IT systems in place are effective, maintained and accurate

People Management

  • Manage, coach and develop a high performing team that meets agreed objectives and delivers best practice results, added value and continuous improvements
  • Set departmental objectives/KPIs and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports

Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with all connected with the logistics process
  • Ensure all completed orders are dispatched on time
  • Ensure products are shipped appropriately to ensure quality of goods during transportation
  • Take control of packaging and provide appropriate, cost effective, high quality solutions
  • Take responsibility for accuracy of labelling to ensure correct parts/finished assemblies reach correct customers at the correct time
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations/customs regulations and legal and health and safety requirements
  • Support new business initiatives and projects and contribute to review meetings and change process. Ensure effective logistics implementation takes place relating to the changes

  • Expert knowledge of technical regulations related to logistics such as import/export and customs regulations, including security requirements to include certification in dangerous goods handling and aviation security
  • High degree of knowledge and understanding of a variety of manufacturing and automotive processes and components and of supply chain management
  • Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including knowledge and understanding of specialist systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Bill of Material (BOM) and customer data systems
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Ability to analyse and manipulate technical and complex data and provide meaningful information
  • Membership of an appropriate professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport would be advantageous

Sales support B2B - Amsterdam Based 

The Sales support B2B is the primary contact for the clients for all non-sales-related questions passed orders and smaller top-ups from the dedicated area (Northern-, Southern- or Central Europe).  The position is exchanging information between the back-office departments: logistics, technical service and finance, and the client. The sales support also supports the Area manager in generating sales and business development in new regions and channels. 

Order book management 

  • Initiating and following through order fulfilment from placed to fully delivered while keeping the client informed
  • Regular review, follow up, and clean-up of the entire order book for assigned territory. 

Technical support

  • Reactive: respond to all phone calls and e-mail requests rapidly and in line with customer service systems requirements. 
  • Proactive: support and educate clients with technical information on new products, updates, and maintenance steps, carry through tech training mostly per video and sometimes in person.
  • Work closely with the customer service department to stay up to date with technical questions.


  • Lead review: review and filter incoming sales leads in line with set requirements. Identify potential new partners with the Area Manager and establish contact. 
  • Lead generation: Research regional or channel-specific markets on a project base to establish prospect bases and filter these with the Area manager. 
  • Assist dealers with placing and editing orders in line with the strategy set by the Area manager
  • Use contact points with customers to upsell new ranges and complementary products. Proactively contact and sell to clients with specific campaigns through mail and phone. 
  • Prepare B2B newsletter in cooperation with the Area Manager and Marketing. 

Project management

  • Work on specifically assigned project (temporary or permanently) with the Area manager and other concerned departments: 
  • Examples: Retail project/pop up; event series like Demo tours or specific sales events like trade shows. 

Financial support

  • Assisting clients with requests for financial information for invoices, credit notes, statements.

The Area sales manager DACH is responsible for all sales and business development for SUPER73 in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. The position is based in our Amsterdam Head office and reporting to the Sales Lead EMEA. Its primary focus is to build the B2B business in the market by managing and opening accounts and sales agencies where necessary. Beyond the B2B focus, the position also advises on and executes stimulation of D2C sales and advises on activations supporting the brand and direct sales. It is a strategic position that needs to absorb and provide market information for the sales, marketing, and logistics departments and contribute to building strategy for the particular markets and channels. This position is tasked with: 

Building the market

  • Responsibility for sales activities within Germany, Austria & Switzerland,
  • Supporting, managing, and building all Sales and account relationships in the DACH market, including the active acquisition of new customers to achieve sales and brand objectives.
  • Responsibility for achieving bottom-line sales and business development objectives in the target market. Sales revenue goals, margins, network development for sales, service, and brand positioning. 
  • Recruiting and managing sales agencies for specific regions and channels in cooperation with EU sales managers.
  • Identifying, planning, and managing Super73 brand experiences in the market. 

Planning and Strategy: 

  • Building and executing strategic business development plan for the DACH territory in line with the Super73 objectives.
  • Generating, inputting, and following through fulfillment of all orders within the territory in cooperation with the sales support team
  • Planning and forecasting on a country, channel account, and product-level
  • Editing of market analyses and regular reports to the sales lead EMEA and other departments.

Creating and maintaining demand:

  • This position is responsible for building structure to provide a seamless premium consumer experience for every Super73 customer throughout the product lifecycle by providing technical training and advice to store clients and educate them to comply with the Super73 technical service processes.
  • Organization and leading of events like product training and test events in cooperation with the events department. Both with retail partners or as direct DEMO/ BRAND events to drive D2C revenue. 
  • Being the interface between the Supersquad, our community of riders in the region, and the event team.
  • Identifying, planning, and executing marketing and brand activations on- and offline to increase brand awareness and direct sales through rapid ROI in the B2B and DTC channels.

Your skills

  • 5+ years of Sales and brand-building experience in the bike, tech or lifestyle industry, or related environment
  • Knowledge of the bike and lifestyle industry as well as a good network
  • Experience in building and managing key accounts and sales channels
